Authentically Me

Welcome. I am a trauma-informed Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Elizabeth McCoy, LPC-S. I provide individual and group telehealth therapy for young adults and adults ages 18 and older living in Texas. I offer culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming psychotherapy and counseling for clients from diverse backgrounds.

My life experience in clinical work as a Licensed Massage Therapist for 25 years, Visual Artist, Art Educator and Classically trained Dancer, has shaped the way I approach psychotherapy and counseling. These experiences have deepened my empathy and understanding of the stories we hold in our bodies, mind, and spirit that directly impact our somatic awareness, movement, creativity, and connection with the natural world. While I’m no longer a practicing massage therapist or currently teach art workshops, this work continues to inform the grounded, whole-person care I provide.

I support clients navigating grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, body-image healing, eating-disorder recovery, and complex trauma. My therapeutic orientation is humanistic, existential, and relational, meaning I approach therapy as a collaborative space to explore your lived experience, values, relationships, identity, and sense of meaning.

This is a welcoming space for people of all identities, backgrounds, bodies, abilities, and ways of being.

My work integrates person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, somatic and expressive arts approaches, IFS-informed therapy, mindfulness-based CBT, and DBT skills. Treatment is tailored to your goals, preferences, culture, and needs.

I am Health at Every Size® (HAES®)-aligned and committed to weight-inclusive, non-diet, and affirming care. I believe that bodies naturally exist in diverse shapes and sizes and that every person deserves respectful, compassionate care free from weight stigma and shame. Rather than centering weight loss or body size as measures of health or worth, I support clients in building a more trusting relationship with their bodies, food, movement, and overall well-being in ways that honor their lived experience, values, access needs, culture, and goals.

My approach is evidence-informed and shaped collaboratively around your goals. Together, we will identify meaningful areas for growth, use approaches that fit your needs and preferences, and regularly reflect on what feels helpful. I draw on current clinical research, collaborative goal setting, and ongoing feedback to provide care that is ethical, responsive, and aligned with your values.

In addition to telehealth, I offer outdoor and nature-based ecotherapy in accessible green spaces for established clients. Sessions can involve walking, sitting, resting, or simply being outdoors—walking is never required.

Lasting change often begins when we give ourselves permission to move forward with greater authenticity.
